i read a blog for a fan of man utd..he is confident dat man utd can win against blackburn eventough rooney injured..XD
Normally, Wayne Rooney's absence from United's team spells disaster: Last season, if you remember, the Reds went through a spell of losing whenever he wasn’t involved. Now, though, things are slightly different. Rooney's ankle injury and likely withdrawal from Saturday's squad to face Blackburn give us the chance to take another look at Carlos Tevez and Dimitar Berbatov together. I, for one, can't wait to see them resume the partnership we've seen only fleeting glimpses of so far.Tevez has such infectious enthusiasm and he's been unlucky to start the last few games on the bench. He hasn’t played as much as he would have liked in recent weeks, but rumour has it that he’s been putting in extra training sessions just to practice running around really fast (it’s a blatant lie, I just made it up. But it's not that unfeasible). He'll relish the physical battle awaiting him at Blackburn, and he loves to buzz around a main striker, which suits Berbatov perfectly. His movement and one-twos on the edge of the area lends itself to playing alongside Berbatov, who, despite his self-confessed shocking miss after five minutes against Aalborg, grew in stature in the second half of a comfortable 3-0 win.Berba didn't celebrate his goals as some players scoring their first for United might, but his reasoning was refreshing for a footballer: "I didn't celebrate because I was angry with myself for missing the first chance – I just didn’t hit it right. I was embarrassed: if I’m getting paid all this money I should be converting these chances!"
You could tell his confidence grew after Augustinussen's gift, and his second goal was a classy finish (an acrobatic volley he nonchalantly described as "a tap-in"). Some of his touches and flicks in the second half were glorious, so expect to see more of that on Saturday. And he’ll have the little ball of energy that is Tevez looking to latch onto anything and everything. This could be the start of a beautiful relationship (I'm blocking Anfield out of my mind) – and if, now I’ve said that, neither player scores and misses five open goals each, I’m very, very sorry.
